Our Wedding

One of Ragen and Laurie's greatest shared passions is travel. Early in their relationship, Ragen invited Laurie to join him and his friends on a trip to the Dominican Republic. Though they've explored many destinations together since, they saved the Dominican Republic for their first adventure as a married couple.In the spirit of their love for travel, you're invited to celebrate with them near and far! Join them for the ceremony and reception in Florida, and/or continue the festivities after at the adventure that awaits in the Dominican Republic.

Cocktail attire - Think "Sunday best"We kindly ask all guests to wear something blue.Any shade of blue is welcome, and prints are perfectly fine!

Dress Code

When do we need to RSVP for the Wedding Day by?As early as possible and no later than June 18th, please.

Will the Wedding be outdoors or indoors?It's July in Florida. We don't go outside; we just sprint between air-conditioned buildings.

Can I bring a guest?We wish we could welcome everyone, but due to limited space,we're only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation.

Can I bring my children?All guest names will be included on your invitation.We'd love to include everyone, but our venue is limited in size.

How far away is the reception from the church?Estimated travel time: 30 minutes, subject to traffic.

For the ceremony and reception, there are plenty of hotel options in and around Gainesville, FL.Please note that there is not a designated hotel room block for this event in Florida.Attendees are responsible for arranging their own lodging.However, there is a special link for the after adventure with Just Travel LLC.

We’ve suggested this hotel for its convenient location—close to the ceremony venue and within easy reach of dining, shopping, and entertainment in Celebration Pointe.

Parking is available across from the First Baptist Church of Alachua located at NW 146 Avenue, Alachua, FL or in the parking lot behind the church. There is another parking lot heading south on Main Street across from the Alachua Farm and Lumber Store located at NW 145 Avenue, Alachua, FL. Parking is also available along the street. PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE GRASS OR SIDEWALKS.
